Clean jokes marathon

Every day I read Reddit. I can't cope with the grown-up news, and I find that the rare times I hop over to my various bookmarked news sites, I head straight for the skateboarding duck stories before I force myself to try and read the hoard of political ones. Reddit compiles everything in a user-voted list so you can see what's hot, what evokes the biggest reaction, and a varied and interesting viewpoint on things that aren't necessarily interesting in other realms.

Today, my favourite thread is the clean jokes marathon, and here are some of my favourite comments...

Two cows are standing in a field. One turns to the other and says, "Hey... are you at all worried about that Mad Cow Disease?"

The other cow says, "Jesus Christ a talking cow!"

Mexican jokes are all the same as black jokes. If you've heard Juan, you've heard Jamal.

Roy Wood Jr and Maronzio Vance on NBC's Last Comic Standing

Prankster comedy talent Roy Wood Jr has credits that include Def Jam, The Late Show with David Letterman, Chelsea Lately and over 40 different radio stations to name a few, and now he's adding a new one – NBC's Last Comic Standing. After auditioning in New York, Roy is hoping add another star to his comedy name-tag by advancing at the semi-finals to meet his biggest challenge yet at the final stage of the knockout competition.

Also featuring on the show is Maronzio Vance, a comic who believes that sometimes pride makes you have to out-gay someone, and has appeared on The Jamie Kennedy Experiment, Wanda Sykes: Wanda Does It and Comicview. With his often sarcastic ways and dry humour, Maronzio tells stories that leave nothing to the imagination.

Watch Roy Wood Jr here and catch Maronzio Vance at our upcoming show at our upcoming show at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach.

Stand Up and Gyrate Sunday

As to be expected, an awesome show. Aida Rodriguez got the crowd cracking up in her own beautifully hysterical way, introducing the feisty Carmen Barton and headlining Henry Coleman to the stage and keeping us all on our toes. Indeed the comedy was first rate and the comedians deserved much praise, but the star of the show had to be the gyrating man who seemed content to thrust each time funnyman Coleman made a joke. Clad in a strange pairing of flashing NY cap, cream leather jacket and much-too-tight black pants, our only hope was that it was the sounds of Rick Astley blaring through those 80s headphones which made him move in such a way. Luckily for the audience, the only two people brave enough to touch him were security escorting him out, but not before he got the chance to shower Aida with 20 $1 notes... he made it rain.

Don't forget it's Audience Appreciation Month this June, with FREE entry to shows with sign-up. Put your name here for a chance to see the thrusting man with your own innocent eyes next Sunday 13th June 2010.
